Hi! Welcome to Elantive!

I’ve been practicing physiotherapy since 2012, holding a Master of Science in Physical Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Alberta. I have worked locally since graduation and love working and living in our rural area.

I have experience in many areas, including musculoskeletal, neurological, geriatrics, vestibular and acute rehabilitation. I love that our profession is so diverse and can offer many avenues and tools to improve the lives of our patients. It’s a constantly changing field, and I enjoy learning new ways to improve my evidence- based practice.

I am passionate about providing patient-centered care and address the many factors that can play a role in recovery and overall wellness. I am also passionate about promoting healthy lifestyles and having an effect “upstream” by prevention and maintenance in my patients health.

I am trained in anatomical acupuncture, functional dry needling, and vestibular and concussion management. With my Kinesiology background and my passion for sports and fitness, one of my greatest strengths is motivating patients to get active in their recovery. Elantive is derived from two words with “elan” meaning doing something with great energy and “active” our primary treatment approach. This suits me as a clinician and my visions for my clinic spot on!

I’m a farm wife and proud mom of three. When I’m not at the clinic, you’ll find me chasing after my kiddos, teaching fitness classes at Wild Prairie Yoga, coaching, curling, golfing, running, or hiking. To escape the hustle and bustle, you can find me out for a run with my labradoodle Griff, hitting my yoga mat, or sitting down to catch a Jays game!

I am thrilled to join the Elantive team, bringing Massage Therapy to the clinic. My family and I moved to the community in 2021, and I am excited to be practicing in a small-town, multidisciplinary physiotherapy setting where building genuine, long-term relationships with clients is a priority.

With a background as a former professional dancer, studio owner, and teacher, I bring a deep understanding of movement, injury prevention, and recovery into my practice. I am particularly passionate about supporting clients through both rehabilitation and preventative care, helping them maintain their bodies for daily life, work, and activity.

I enjoy blending therapeutic massage techniques with a nervous-system–supportive approach, recognizing the connection between physical tension, stress, and overall well-being. As a mother of five, I understand the physical demands of everyday life and strive to create a calm, supportive environment where each client feels deeply and individually cared for. Whether you are seeking relief from headaches, managing TMJ dysfunction, recovering from surgery, navigating pre- or post-natal care, addressing sports injuries, or simply looking to relax, I would be honoured to be part of your wellness journey.

I have been working as a physiotherapist since 2011 when I graduated with my Masters from the University of Saskatchewan. Prior to this I received my BKin from the University of Calgary in 2008. I worked as a personal trainer for a time and my experience in that field continues to affect how I treat today. Working with people to find the right exercises for them is one of my favourite parts of the day.

After working as a PT in Calgary for two years we moved back to Trochu, when we started a family. I have been working in the area since 2014 and am excited to have the opportunity to serve this great community, close to home.

I have experience treating all types of musculoskeletal conditions and I have been using dry needling as a tool in my toolbelt since 2019. I have taken extra training in manual techniques and pain science, and am also trained to offer pelvic floor therapy. I love to meet my patients where they are and work together to build back strength and function and improve pain along the way. I look forward to travelling with you on your rehab journey.
